SteriPen Classic Water Purifier:
The SteriPen Classic is a versatile water purification pen that uses an ultraviolet (UV) lamp to effectively destroy waterborne microbes that could make you sick. Offering up to 8,000 treatments and purifying 16 ounces of water in 48 seconds, the Classic SteriPen features a tapered neck designed to mate with the SteriPen Pre-Filter as well as most commercial water bottles and other containers. The SteriPen Classic purifies 200 half-liters of water with a single set of AA lithium batteries. Whether your source is a mountain stream, a hotel tap, or a plastic water bottle, SteriPen Classic destroys viruses, bacteria, and protozoa including Giardia and Cryptosporidium in seconds by shining the lamp into the water.

SteriPen Pre-Filter:
The SteriPen Pre-Filter is designed to filter out particulates and sediment from your water before you apply the UV purifier. The Pre-Filter has a 4x4-micron filter screen that sifts sediment and small particulate matter out of the water. The screen is held within a cartridge with an air vent at the top and allows for either pour through or immersion methods to filter the water. Once the water is cleared, the water purification process employed by the SteriPen UV water purifier will be more effective.
