It's no mistake that the Evo's UniBody Traction system acts as the foundation for some of MSR's most aggressive models. The UniBody's steel traction rails and brake bars are molded directly into the snowshoe decks, providing a secure and lasting grip on any terrain. Having the best traction when heading up or down even modest slopes in less than ideal conditions is something everyone can appreciate. MSR also holds the same standard for control, and the weather-resistant, three-strap PosiLock bindings deliver it in spades. PosiLock bindings provide ample freeze-proof and glove-friendly security, helping them easily accommodate a wide range of footwear. And hikers will love the all-condition adaptability of the Modular Flotation tails. The tails combine the maneuverability of a smaller shoe in packed conditions with the added, on-demand flotation of optional 6-inch tails when walking in powder or carrying heavy loads.
